  11.         Welcome to the release of Qmail DeLuxe² v1.25!

  13.         If you have already registered your Qmail DeLuxe² reader then
  14.         you may update your reader system from these files.  You do not
  15.         need pay any additional registration fees in order to use this
  16.         release.

  18.         This file contains a list of fixes and new features.  This file
  19.         is in addition to the DELUXE2.DOC file.  If you are new to Qmail
  20.         DeLuxe² we recommend that you browse through this file and read
  21.         DELUXE2.DOC in order to learn how to use Qmail DeLuxe².

  32.     ■   The 1.20 and 1.21 releases both experienced problems and lockups
  33.         if you turned on SuperShell.  Some systems didn't show this
  34.         problem (unfortunately, our test systems were included in that
  35.         group) but the problem was tracked down to the SuperShell
  36.         modules themselves.  Fixed.
  37.  
  38.     ■   When you use the @CONF@ variable the reader replaces  all
  39.         periods with "_"'s so you can archive Usenet newsgroups.
  40.  
  41.     ■   You are now able to use "ALIASES" that your sysop can give
  42.         you in our Qmail Door system.  This means that if your sysop
  43.         allows it, you can use alias names in conferences they setup
  44.         up for aliases.
  45.  
  46.         Remember, your sysop has full control of this feature.  THEY must
  47.         give you the alias entries and they must determine which
  48.         conferences will accept alias entries.
  49.  
  50.         If you do use an alias entry then DeLuxe² will suppress the
  51.         serial number in the tagline so you will not be traced by your
  52.         serial number.

  54.     ■   Changes were made in the message archive section to help those
  55.         who reported that they are never asked for a filespec when
  56.         archiving messages.  Instead, the reader would archive all
  57.         messages to NOTES.TXT.  Fixed.
  58.  
  59.     ■   You can now add Fido-style taglines "on the fly" by using a new
  60.         "at-variable" named "@FIDO@" on a single line in your reply.  If
  61.         you include this variable in your reply then the tagline will
  62.         switch, for that message only, into a fido-compliant tagline.

  64.     ■   If you edit a reply from yourself then you are placed in the
  65.         REPLY mode so you may edit your original message.

  67.     ■   You can now use @variables in the file export filespec.

  69.     ■   Added support for DOOR.ID, specifically for two commands
  70.         within DOOR.ID.  If "MIXEDCASE = YES" is found in the file then
  71.         the reader will let you use upper and lower case names and
  72.         subjects.  If "FIDOTAG = YES" is found then the reader
  73.         automatically uses Fido-compliant taglines.

  75.     ■   Added the "/386" moniker back to 386 versions of the reader.

  86.     ■   Fixed a problem that surfaced in the 1.20 release.  If you tried
  87.         to view large files (like new file lists) the reader would
  88.         display a "string space corrupt" error.  This has been fixed in
  89.         this release.

  91.     ■   Fixed a problem when displaying large ANSI files.  If the file
  92.         did not include a CR/LF within 2,048 bytes the reader would not
  93.         show the file.  Fixed.

  100.     ■   Qmail DeLuxe² now supports up to 800 messages per conference (up
  101.         from only 200 messages per conference).  Now you can get more
  102.         mail at one time without downloading multiple packets.

  104.     ■   The MESSAGES.DAT file is closed before a shell to DOS.  This
  105.         allows programs like BBQWK to work with MESSAGES.DAT.  The file
  106.         is automatically reopened when you return back to the reader.

  108.     ■   Fixed a bug with truncating archive filespecs.

  110.     ■   Changed the FIDO tagline back to "* DeLuxe²"

  112.     ■   The reader determines if LIST should be called on long display

  116.         search also shows "blocks" on the bottom line when it finds a

  139.     ■   Qmail DeLuxe² will now let you view a message with 225 lines
  140.         without shelling out to LIST.

  142.     ■   Qmail DeLuxe² has full support for a ZIPPY string search.  You
  143.         scan search all messages, messages in only one conference, exclude
  144.         taglines and messages you've already read.

  146.         In order to perform a ZIPPY message scan all you need to do is to
  147.         press the letter "Z" while reading messages.  You can search all
  148.         messages in the packet, in the current conference, messages you
  149.         have already read and exclude taglines.

  151.         The ZIPPY function returns you back to the current conference and
  152.         message you were in when you first executed the ZIPPY command.
  153.  
  154.         For more information about the ZIPPY command just press [ALT+H]
  155.         after you press the "Z" command to execute a ZIPPY search.

  157.     ■   Full support for the Sparkware Usenet Gateway is now available.
  158.         If you reply to a Usenet message then the reader automatically
  159.         sets up your reply to conform with gateway standards.  The reader
  160.         even adds the "UN: " to the front of your subject automatically
  161.         or addresses it to USENET GATEWAY (if it is a Usenet mail message).

  163.     ■   Message filespecs for archiving messages are now checked to make
  164.         sure SPACES are converted into underscores.

  166.     ■   Qmail DeLuxe² now checks to see that the target subdirectory
  167.         actually exists before the message is archived.  This lets you use
  168.         archive filespecs like:

  172.         So each BBS' archived messages are stored in a seperate subdirectory.
  173.         (Change all #'s to @'s in the above example).

  175.     ■   If you use the "Enter messages without a reply packet on file"
  176.         then DeLuxe² will now check the .REP packet if it exists to see
  177.         which archiver was used to create it.

  179.     ■   If a conference was not listed in the conference menu but was
  180.         included in the message packet (or REPLIES too) then the reader
  181.         would display JUNK for the conference name in the message header.
